EMBOLISATION HANDS ON COURSE, Rome , May 7-8, 2010

The European School of Interventional Radiology invites you to participate in the Embolisation hands-on course in beautiful Rome on May 7-8, 2010!

This course is intended for physicians who are interested in getting basic and, at the same time, advanced information about the indications and techniques of different embolisation procedures and about the use of different embolic agents and devices. Lectures will be offered in the field of oncology (liver tumours), acute radiology (trauma and GI bleeding), women’s health (fibroids) as well as less common conditions (bronchial embolisation, AVMs). The different techniques used in the management of acute and non-acute conditions will be described together with the indications and potential complications.

Lectures will be followed by a hand-on session which will be dedicated to the demonstration of the most commonly used embolic agents and devices available on the market. Workshop participants will be involved in interactive case discussions where easy cases but also the most difficult and complicated ones will be presented. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own cases (in PPT format) for open discussion.
